VIDEO: FELA! produced by Jay-z, Will & Jada Smith

The highly-anticipated video for “Telephone,” directed by Jonas Åkerlund had racked up more than 15.5 million views on YouTube by Monday the 15th of March 2010, so we kinda feel like we missed the boat on this one. Our opinion on this 10 minute mini-movie is that it is so impressive! it features many eye pleasing imagery and many interesting scenes, one of which features lesbian sex (a personal favorite for MistaBitches).
We generally are impressed with Lady Gaga here at BraVesta and just wish that she could extend her 31 date “Monsters Ball” tour, which she has just recently announced, to South Africa. I would be there like a bear! Although most people are in awe of the entertainer, just like all other boundary pushing artists, some people are not exactly pleased with her antics. You make your own opinion.

Oooooooh, Ooooooooh! This time around we managed to do the do, i.e. the mindless banter during a weekend day. We is very proud of ourselves because we all know how difficult it is stay indoors during the weekend. As a result we recorded this on a Sunday evening after all the typical weekend activities. Now, stop reading this. I can’t believe you’re still wasting your time in reading this. Just get into it. We have new music from TI, Usher, Ester Dean and Trey Songz… All this featuring L to the E to the S.E.G.O, Fresh B, The Rambunctious Rambizee (well’ sort of) and MistaBitches:

Hoooooooooo, Vuyo! He has such a beeeg beeeeg Wedgie! LOL! Sorry, just trying to illustrate the mindlessness of the banter on the Wedgie, and this week’s instalment is no different. In fact, it’s even worse. But don’t take my word for it. Just listen. We have Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg and his interview (well, the snippet of the interview the rest of which can be found below), Culoe De Song and the Mighty MistaBitches and the Beautiful Fresh B!! Break out the earphones and let’s tighten up that Wedgie!

OK! The Wedgie is back. We finally found a female co-host. MJ was MIA this time but we found it within ourselves to continue existence without his phenomenal-ness. Hopefully when he hears this he will be inspired to join us next weekend when we record again. Check out the latest in mindless banter:

It took me a while to find a flattering photo of this celebrity phenomenon called Khanyi Mbau who, in my opinion, is the quintessential South African celebrity from whom all others should learn. Having said that, she needs to hire herself a proper make-up artist and photographer. If she does this, her star will shine even brighter! Although it might be a bit of a problem if her photos get taken by random photographers at these events that she so religiously attends, however if her make up is on point she has nothing to worry about. She’s still sexy though and I know a lot of brothers who would privately admit to that. Anyway, I was checking on the BraVesta twitter page and I saw that she tweeted that she got two singles that have been made available on the heat website for download. What I subsequently found out was that what she meant was that the songs were actaully available for streaming. So because I am such a nice person, I took it upon myself to have them available for download as was originally intended:

This merriment is of Teddy P’s life. I will remember him as the romancing, no break dancing, distinguished gentleman who touched a countless number of ladies around the world. Being the lady of BraVesta, if ever I had the privilege to interview him I’d ask him who he was singing to because in his songs he is so smooth that you’d think that he is singing to you. His voice!…so deep, as if he was trying to seduce you. It just makes you want to meet the man behind the music and even if I will never get the chance, his memory still lives on. He will definitely be missed.
R.I.P., Teddy P. (I’m rhyming)

If you are one of the many that have watched “Avatar” and are wondering how the heck they made that movie… sorry for you. I don’t know how they made it so I couldn’t tell you. What I can tell you is that the female lead character named “Neytiri” is played by Zoe Saldana. Up until now, I’ve not know this actresses name. I’ve seen her in many other movies but have never considered her a superstar. Now that I’ve seen “Avatar”, I’ll definitely pay more attention and so will the rest of the world. Check her while she talks about Avatar and while she gets her Complex Photo Shoot on:
