I like THE SATURDAYS. Haven’t really heard much of their music but I’ve seen some video blogs of theirs and I like their personality as well as their look. The first things that caught my attention about these beauties was their image. I was busy looking for music on the Internet and I ran across their album cover from their 2008 release. I was intrigued, but I didn’t listen to them at the time. They were just stored in my mind somewhere. Again I was looking for music today and realised that they’ve released a new album in 2010. I feel the same way about these ladies as I did the first time I came across Lady Gaga. With excited anticipation as to what’s next. The Saturdays have been around for 3 years, and 3 albums later I still haven’t heard much of a buzz about them. Let’s give them more exposure, please!!

Now his Bad Boy Family is completely different. As the cover suggests, all that is left is Cassie, Diddy – Dirty Money (With those 2 girls whose names I don’t quite remember), Red Cafe and Rick Ross…. Although Rick is not exactly a Bad Boy Artist. Those of you that have DSTV/TopTV may have seen this video on either MTV/BET already. I bought this album on the strength of this single and its inclusion of Young Money’s Tyga; whose Mixtape I downloaded just now. Just check out the video. It’s hot. Especially Tyga’s verse. It literally makes the entire song. BTW, you can also find Tyga featured on Chris Brown’s Mixtape which so far sounds a lot better than his album

Here’s the thing, right? Me and Fresh B have always been at loggerheads with regards to Erykah Badu. My stance has always been that a lot of my most visible artists have been made so because of their 1st (2) album(s). These artist remain visible because of these 1st works. They then disappoint me with their follow ups, leaving me hungry for their better works. Examples of these artists are Mary J. Blige and Erykah Badu. However, 2010 seems to be the year of the return to glory of these artists. It started with Mary’s latest, “Stronger with each tear”, and if Erykah Badu’s “Window Seat”, the video to which is excitingly provocative, is anything to go by, I am convinced that these artists have somehow found their Mojo one more again… but then again, maybe it’s just me. Check out this awesome video!

The highly-anticipated video for “Telephone,” directed by Jonas Åkerlund had racked up more than 15.5 million views on YouTube by Monday the 15th of March 2010, so we kinda feel like we missed the boat on this one. Our opinion on this 10 minute mini-movie is that it is so impressive! it features many eye pleasing imagery and many interesting scenes, one of which features lesbian sex (a personal favorite for MistaBitches).
We generally are impressed with Lady Gaga here at BraVesta and just wish that she could extend her 31 date “Monsters Ball” tour, which she has just recently announced, to South Africa. I would be there like a bear! Although most people are in awe of the entertainer, just like all other boundary pushing artists, some people are not exactly pleased with her antics. You make your own opinion.

Oooooooh, Ooooooooh! This time around we managed to do the do, i.e. the mindless banter during a weekend day. We is very proud of ourselves because we all know how difficult it is stay indoors during the weekend. As a result we recorded this on a Sunday evening after all the typical weekend activities. Now, stop reading this. I can’t believe you’re still wasting your time in reading this. Just get into it.
